I know that going to concerts isn’t exactly what you’d expect to be posted on an “adventure blog”, but I feel that there’s something so similar concerning the topics adventure and concerts…they both give me a thrill. Whether I am traveling with a few friends or I am screaming my head off and singing out loud (and a bit off key) while the actual artist him/her self is singing too, both give me such a rush! So, I wanted to share that experience with you through pictures I took myself at a few concerts I’ve been to over the past two years or so. Enjoy!
Adventure
The Concrete Jungle
AdventureOne of my favorite places to visit is the big city of New York. So, what better way to wrap up my summer blog posts with pictures from Manhattan! When we all visited New York for the day, my family and I first went to eat at Eataly (which is absolutely delicious. I highly, highly recommend devouring everything in that restaurant/market). We filled ourselves with cheeses, meats, pastas, fresh fruits and veggies, and rich gelato. After, we visited Washington Square where we saw a “pigeon lady” rearranging and creating pigeons all over the city floor. We also passed by countless pieces of art (although others would disagree and call it graffiti) and ended our day with seeing the play, “Of Mice and Men”, starring the beautiful James Franco and hilarious Chris O’ Dowd. The play was amazing- the acting, the actors, the script, everything. It was my first time hearing the storyline from “Of Mice and Men” and really was not expecting that ending. Safe to say, I needed more than a few tissues. All in all, our exciting day in New York was great.
One, Two, Three…Jump!
AdventureThis past summer, Alyssa and I were bored one summer afternoon and decided to let our “adventure-side” out. We had heard of this place to go cliff jumping, but had no idea where it was (and to be honest, I still have no idea where we were). So, we packed a few PB&J’s hopped in my jeep, and drove around for awhile until we saw a few other kids walking to “secret place”. Once we got there, we got into our bathing suits and tried to build up the courage to jump into the water. After a few attempts we finally jumped (her much more graceful than me I must admit) and it was such a thrill!
